There are many types of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) but in this series we can only discuss four main types of SEO.

On-page SEO optimised web pages for search engines by optimising content, tags, URLs, images and links. The goal is to make pages more relevant and authoritative for specific search queries, which can increase website traffic.

Question - What is SEO?

I don't think it's possible to agree on an answer.

To be successful in digital marketing, SEO cannot exist in a vacuum.

All of the above items and more can be part of a successful SEO toolkit.

Now the problem is that many of us are not involved in day-to-day digital marketing, they think we are just "doing it".

We can't just "do" because none of us agree on what that means. This is not a bad thing.

While the basic terminology of SEO has not changed much over the years, the scope and scope of SEO responsibility has changed significantly.

SEO professionals are no longer coding geeks who can rank websites just by manipulating HTML code.

SEO success now requires multiple skills, from coding to public relations skills.

And because SEO professionals have these skills, we often see other things go wrong than most people think we should. For the most part, we solve these problems because that's what we do.

Why SEO is Important

You've probably heard hundreds of times that search engine optimization (SEO) is an essential digital marketing tool. But do you really know how SEO works? Even if you have a basic understanding of what it entails, you may not have a strong understanding of this complex and multifaceted phenomenon.

SEO is many things, and knowing what it is and how it works is key to understanding why SEO is so important. In short, SEO is important because it increases your website's visibility, which means more traffic and more opportunities to convert prospects into customers. Check out the SEO tools you can use to improve your rankings.

It's also a valuable tool for increasing brand awareness, building relationships with potential customers, and establishing yourself as an authoritative and trusted expert in your field. So, here's everything you need to know about SEO and why it's so important to succeed in today's digital world.

In Conclusion

Problems arise when traders do not know where their territories are.

I get calls from advertising and PR agencies, IT departments, marketing managers, and sales people.

All because they think what we do is their business.

Over the years, I've learned that the secret ingredient is communication and flexibility.

When you're doing SEO and see something that needs to be done, find the right way to do it.

If this channel does not exist, fix it.

But if you fix it, and it's someone else's job, you're not just making enemies, you're creating operational problems for the entire organisation.

There should be a system where SEOs can find the people they need to do the work.

Ultimate responsibility for quality should also be clarified.

Ultimate responsibility for quality control is what I propose to strive for, not the right to fix problems.

Being able to tell when a problem is fixed and fixing it properly is much more effective than just saying you fixed it to fix the problem.

Therefore, you are not responsible for optimizing the website.

After all, it has nothing to do with SEO and is not the result.

This is absolutely necessary when we talk about who gets paid for what, but that's why we started charging by the hour.

I wish I had a better solution, but here it is.

If your client or boss can skip the long to-do list and focus on the bottom line, everyone will be more successful and you'll know "who's doing what." In the long run, it doesn't matter, and everyone knows it. How do you define "who does what"?
