Beast Movie Premise By:

A recently widowed husband returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, with their two teenage daughters on a long-planned trip to a game reserve managed by an old family friend and fellow wildlife enthusiast. Managed by biologists. Soon, however, a ferocious, man-hunting lion begins to attack them and devour anyone in its path. Their journey to healing turns into a battle where their resilience will be tested.

Beast Movie Story

A recently widowed man and his two teenage daughters are traveling to a game reserve in South Africa. However, their journey to recovery soon turns into a battle for survival when a bloodthirsty tiger starts stalking them.

After the demise of their marriage, the Samuels family feels lost in their present life. Dr. Nate Samuels is now without a wife and his two daughters, Meredith and Norah, without a mother, and suffice it to say that the rift between them has since grown significantly.

In an attempt to reunite his family, Nate decides to take the girls on vacation to Africa, where they expect to enjoy a relaxing and fun journey through the African savannah. With the help of their African wilderness expert, tour guide, and friend Martin Beetles, the family embarks on what is supposed to be an adventure of sorts. Technically they were right, as this was a unique situation they would soon find themselves in, but in all the worst ways.

Their nature tourism trip is cut short when they find a seriously injured man on the road, where he repeats the word "Devil" in shock. Nate and Martin investigate a nearby village to see if there is any evidence of this "Demon", and they find a shocking amount of corpses all over the place.

The bite marks and tracks suggest it was a tiger attack, but what doesn't add up is how the carcasses weren't eaten, almost as if whoever killed them was for fun. What is for Soon, the bloodthirsty king of the jungle has Samuels' family in his sights, and he won't rest until his new victim shares the fate of the village he slaughtered.

Release date

Beast is set to roar into theaters exclusively at the end of the summer season on Friday, August 19, 2022. This means that August will be a big month for Idris Elba considering how his next film Three Thousand Years of Longing is set to be released a week and a half later on Wednesday August 31st, which has already premiered in Cannes.

The only way to see Beast when it first premieres is in a movie theater, but given the pattern that feature films have followed in the post-pandemic era, a streaming release is likely on the horizon.

When and where it will be released on streaming is still up in the air, but given that it's a Universal production, the most likely home for it would be on NBC Universal-owned Peacock. If not, it will also be available to rent from home about a month and a half after the film's initial release.
